Art group trip to the sea

Silvery sea in the distance

From the wall in the car park

Down onto the beach

I find it fascinating to watch how the colour relationships on the horizon change from minute to minute

and what strange shapes the splashing waves make - much too fast to be seen unless caught on camera

What an amazing February day - blue sky and sunshine

Patterns on the sand as the water recedes

I don't usually take photos of people who I don't know but I couldn't resist this couple in the distance

High on the cliffs pigeons were perching in holes. It was only when I took a photo that I could see a football in there with them

and I didn't realise till I saw this photo enlarged on the computer that there's a red football even deeper in this hole.

The seagulls were elusive today - this was the best photo I got of them

A patch of pale peachy sky low on the horizon

For a while the horizon on the right seemed to merge with the sky

Then a clear distinction returned.

On our way back we went over the Devil's Dyke - stopping twice in lay-by's to take photos

 A few things collected from the beach.

What a treat it was - a fabulous day out.
