Unexpected walk in the park

I had a flat battery this morning so walked to church via the park. I was in a hurry so didn't stop to take photos on the way there. I arrived all hot and bothered but very grateful for a very thoughtful friend who gave me a drink of water.

On the way home I dawdled.

There are two lovely swathes of daffodils which were bobbing their heads in the breeze.

After all the years I've lived near this park, and walked my children to school thought it many years ago, I've never noticed the plane tree - covered in spiky baubles dangling on their frayed threads.
