LITTLE ARTY JOURNEYS . . . LOOKING CLOSER, SEEING DEEPER.

Short afternoon walk and a sunset

After a disappointing morning I needed a walk.

Heart shaped mahonia buds

I wonder why all these seed pods face upwards - surely seed pods would need to droop down so the seeds can drop out?

Gorgeous purply blue

Another thing I wonder - how are these orange berries still hanging on to their disintegrated pods?

Among all the seed pods and pine needles that have caught on these branches pale green shoots are emerging all around

Quick glimpse of blue sky

and then the grey clouds rolled in

Yet again I was back at the hydrangea skeletons - so delicate and intricate

The prairie beds have been mulched and the rest of the paths have had their wood chips renewed

Such strong colours in the flowerbeds approaching the gate

The euphorbias now have a pair of bells dangling from each little flower

LATER ON
Out top room is a fabulous place to watch sunsets from

and from a bedroom on the next floor down

Thank you very much for joining me.

  1. Some lovely colours in these photos Angela. I wonder if some seed pods are facing up to attract birds to eat them. Then the birds fly off, and when the seeds pass through their gut, they are spread far and wide?

    1. Thank you Cath. That's good thinking about the seeds.
