The air was cooler this morning and I found it much more comfortable for walking.
Gorgeous colours in the beds near the gate.
Yew berries.
I love the way the light shines through the silk tree flowers.
One of the cats meowed at me, demanding to be stroked, then gave me a fierce look because I was still taking photos instead of responding immediately!
Gorgeous Thalictrum flowers.
Thalictrums and echinaceas.
Tall grasses - several varieties.
Looking closer - dripping with honey coloured somethings! I'm so technical - flowers? Seeds? I want to look closer quite soon, before it's too late and I have to wait till next year!
Woops - another view of the Thalictrum seems to have sneaked in.
Wild carrot seed-head.
Poppies sprinkled through the other plants.
I like this raspberry and lilac colour combination.
Looking from a distance.
I've said it before (probably quite a few times) - I love these purple morning glory flowers - I must have some in my garden next year.
The structure of the buds is fascinating
and that deep purple flower with luminous centre - love it! Even the pollen looks luminous!
Low, late summer sunliight shining through the plants.
Callicarpa flowers.
Sunlight through leaves.
I could smell honeysuckle quite a while before I could see it.
The Candyfloss tree is changing colour now.
It always surprises me to see buds at this time of year. These are beginning to get ready for next year even before the beginning of this Autumn.
More leaves in the sunlight.
Smoke bush lit by the sun.
Spindleberries.
Cornus (Kousa probably) berries.
Back to the smoke bush again - beautiful colours in the sunlight.
Some of the sunflowers are still going strong.
Lots of bees were busily collecting nectar/pollen
and hoverflies working hard too.
Golden rain tree pods.
Sunflower seeds.
Red sunflowers.
Poppies.
A last view before leaving.
Thank you very much for joining me.
