One day/Two walks Selsdon Wood/Coombe Wood

Early morning - Selsdon Wood

Helpful signs on the trees - and a map in my hand, I still got confused. No sense of direction. A friendly bunch of dogwalkers got me back on track.

One tree four trunks and a hollow in the middle. .

Carpets of wood anemones - and the ocassional sighting of a bluebell here and there.

Interesting tree trunks.

One tree two trunks - each quite different - and beautifully lit by the sun.

Blossom.

Late morning and into the afternoon - Coombe Wood with my neighbour.

Colourful corner

The big beech tree has had a serious haircut. (Damage limitation following the loss of another limb.)

The gardener had a bonfire yesterday. (It was still very smelly today!)

Thank you very much for joining me.
