Misty Monday morning walk (Coombe Wood)

A bright but chilly morning - pockets of mist.

Steaming roof

Red leaves and blue sky.

Frosty grass. (I could hear the gardener in the distance using the leaf clearing machine).

Gorgeous colours

Some of the trees have already lost all of their leaves.

Ragged banana leaves.

 Tiny white flowers.

Sunlight through the trees.

Bright berries.

 Golden leaves.

Misty rays again.

Looking across the prairie pants to the hut which had the front taken off a while ago because it was dangerous. I wonder if it will ever be rebuilt.

Melting frost.

Leafy patterns

These change colour in a very strange way.

Orange berries.

The shrub has been cut to the same shape as the end of the long hut that it is growing against.

Rop flower bed full of plants.

Looking across the flower bed to the sundial.

I heard horses hooves before I saw two riders trot past.

Looking back at the flower beds - plants now adding their steam to the misty air.

Still quite frosty in the shade.

Reflections in the pond.

Frosty plants.

A last look at the mist which had cleared a bit more by now.

Trees.

Thank you very much for joining me.

  1. I knew it would have been a great morning for a walk - sadly I was in the office not at Kew! love the frosty tinged plants and grass.
