Bright clear reflections on the pond.
Bare red twigs in the sunshine.
I meant to photograph these rose-hips from the other side with the sun shining on them - but forgot.
Mahonia buds.
These tiny buds will become chains of bell-like flowers.
Camelia buds.
Blue sky.
I stopped to smell the witch hazel - it has a delicate scent.
The Earthstar mushrooms have changed since a couple of days ago.
This is what they looked like on Saturday 30th . . .
. . . ahis is what they looked like today. The outer starry layer has curled back and the other ring around the centre has increased in size and separated from the layer beneath.
The centre reminded me of the shape of a pomegranate. It looks as if the spores have probably exploded.
The other mushrooms as growing quite large.
Characterful trees against the blue sky.
Buds - might be rhododendron or azalea?
Orange berries in the sunlight.
Tall slender silver birch - white bark gleaming in the light.
Slightly bedraggled pampas grass.
Several rather active fish disturbed the reflections creating changing patterns as the rings rippled out across the pond.
Bare trees in the sunshine.
Thank you very much for joining me.
I wish I'd been able to get to Kew another time this week, it's back to work tomorrow! Great photos - love the silver birch against the beautiful blue sky; and that earthstar mushroom is great!
