Arty journeys...

LITTLE ARTY JOURNEYS . . . LOOKING CLOSER, SEEING DEEPER.

Boxing Day early walk and Snake Gourd Photo

I arrived at Coombe Wood early and had the place to myself for most of my walk.

Hellebore - middle like a crazy little explosion.

Primroses

Layers - bobbly blackened seed heads against fluffy, crinkly grasses against empty upright stems.

Bright berries

Sunflower heads in various stages of decomposition.

Dwarf irises.

Snowdrops.

Heather.

Remains of echinacea flowers.

A wider view.

                                   Weighed down with berries.

Tiny seed pods and new shoots.

Orange and red witch hazel flowers.

More green ones sprouting on the other witch hazel tree.

A big cluster of hellibores about to open.

Grey sky

All that's left after the bunches of orange berries have gone.

New growth among dead stems.

Neat pile of branches.

Bright splashes of colour.

Yellow starry centres.

The gents as well as the ladies loos are locked today.

Really tiny plants in the alpine trough.

Abstract of dismantled furniture. I like the colour of the mossy floor, against the bricks then the horizontals and verticals of the different coloured wood in different directions.

Fluffy daisy like flower.

By the pond.

Daffodil buds.

My snake gourd plant is having another flush of flowers as well as a flush of colour.

One of the flowers.

A flush of orange is travelling down the gourd from the stem.

Thank you very much for joining me.

  1. Glad you made it after all! Grey skies but love the bright splashes of colour.
