Arty journeys...

LITTLE ARTY JOURNEYS . . . LOOKING CLOSER, SEEING DEEPER.

Catching up again - Friday morning in Coombe Wood

Catching up again - I've been distracted by other stuff including partly building a shelving unit in a cupboard - unbuilding it to remove skirting board, deciding to paint the walls and mend a hole......

Also I've been having trouble editing down to a more reasonable number of photos - there are still quite a lot. You have been warned.

On Friday morning my neighbour and I went to Coombe Wood. Most of the tulips gone - ready for summer planting. The gardener was digging up the last few. I wonder what's coming next.

By the pond.

Rockery near pond - delightful little flowers.

Further along the path - much bigger flowers.

I love the middles. So flamboyant!

Smaller pure white flowers.

Just look at the amount of pollen the bee is carrying!

You can see even better from behind.

Pink and crumpled.

Aquilegia past their best but what a lovely colour!

Quite a lot of spot the bees photos coming up - here's one to start with.

Wonderful daisies.

Acer seeds - red against green leaves.

Lots of alliums and bees.

Oooh look - it's not an allium! Tree that seemed so harshly pruned springing into life at quite a rate now.

Honesty seeds forming.

I like the way the alliums have grown through the acer.

More aquilegias.

Palm flowers.

Acer seeds.

I haven't fnished with the alliums yet. (And bees!)

Lovely leaf patterns.

Dark slender leaved acer with red seeds.

Rhododendrons.

Acer and seeds.

Candy floss tree.

Foxglove tree.

Yellow scented azaleas.

Rhododendron.

Sugar pink azalea with stary petals.

Pink and lemon yellow.

Peach and raspberry!

Funny red flowers.

Weigela/weigelia?

 Tree peony.

Tiny white flowers tinged with pink.

Philadelphus with a bee with very hairy legs.

Buds waiting to open.

Spindleberry flowers.

Thos red flowers again.

Another lovely acer.

Cornus.

Newly planted magnolia.

Love this colour combination - like swirling ice cream colours.

Bees again.

I'm hoping my cousin can tell me what these are.

Such a good day for alliums and bees.

A big allium rising up in the herbaceous border.

Huge Poppy bud.

Delicate love in the mist.

Wow - that colour took me by surprise!

Dark aquilegias.

The hops have grown a huge amount!

In the alpine trough.....lovely little red daisy-like flowers.

Thank you very much for joining me.
