Walk in Selsdon Woods

My neighbour and I went for a walk in Selsdon Woods this morning.

Pyramid orchid

There were loads of different butterflies in the fields flitting about in the long grass but only one sat still long enough to be photographed.

A massive seed head - like a dandelion clock but on a much taller stem and more than double the size of a normal dandelion

Looking closer - fabulous patterns.

It was glorious walking through the fields. The sky was amazing.

The woods were refreshing after walking through the fields in the hot sun. We were amused by discovering this creative log transformation. The addition of a collar, eyes and a tongue as well as a horn - very obviously a unicorn!

Thank you very much for joining me.
