Background

My art training is in printmaking and bookbinding. My camera (a little digital one) goes everywhere with me.

Health difficulties affect what I can do but not only in a negative way - there are positives too. Rheumatoid arthritis forces me to slow down and pace myself, giving me the opportunity to notice things more than I did before. Sight problems have increased my enjoyment and appreciation of taking photos - particularly close ups because they reveal detail that is otherwise very difficult for me to see.

I hope that through this blog I can share something of the joy of looking deeper, as well as a bit about the process and thought behind it all.
